Here at Main Street Farm, we have the distinct pleasure of offering a Catskill Mountain delicacy - the freshwater trout - for our customers hoping to taste and savor the local culture. We proudly source it from our neighbors in Livingston Manor, the Beaverkill Trout Hatchery, where the Shaver family has been serving the area the freshest possible trout since the 1960's.

The hatchery itself contains ponds fed by both the Beaverkill River and Adler Creek, known to anglers worldwide as two of the great places to fish for trout.

When purchasing trout through us and our friends at the hatchery, one is not only buying a delicious, healthy dinner - one gets to engage with a storied, rich and wholesome history.
The trout has found its way into local myth and lore, as evidenced by the Legend of the Two Headed Trout and the annual Trout Day Parade here in Livingston Manor, and offering this culinary and ecological icon to our loyal customers is an honest and proud effort.
